Global Wildlife

Our last field trip of the year was at the Global Wildlife Museum and I believe we saved the best for last! The kids were able to feed and pet all different kinds of animals. We saw deer, camels, bulls, llamas, zebras, giraffes (from a distance J ) and many more! It was a great way to end our unit on animals.

National Day of Prayer

Today is the National Day of Prayer and we were blessed to celebrate together with a beautiful chapel service. The first grade class has been practicing the Lord’s Prayer and Jesus Loves Me for quite some time and did a wonderful job performing it for everyone. Here are two videos to show how spectacular they were!

Measurement

We have wrapped up our unit on measurement. We learned how to measure in many different units (centimeters, inches, feet, liters, grams, kilograms, pounds). The students really enjoyed this chapter because it was very “hands-on”. They were able to get out of their seat to move around and measure different things on their own.

Strawberry Farm

What a wonderful day we had today! We picked the most delicious strawberries, had a picnic lunch, and explored the Tickfaw museum.  We were lucky to have been able to reschedule our field trip and after the short morning drizzle, we had great weather!  The kids were wiped out when we returned to school!
