8...7...6...5...

We are down to the last week! For day 8, the balloon was extra recess. Day 7 was Popsicles. Day 6 was popcorn and day 5 was hula hoops. The kids are enjoying the rewards everyday but we still have some awesome ones coming!!

Countdown till' Summer 11...10...9...

So we are in the final days of 1st grade! It is very bittersweet!  To begin our countdown we read our favorite books in the sun. Then we enjoyed a day of stinky feet where we took our shoes off. Let me emphasize the word "stinky" :).  Today, day 9, we spent the last 20 minutes of class play with clay. They built many interesting and imaginative things with their clay. They can't wait to pop the balloon for day 8! 

Global Wildlife!

Well, we have finished all of the 1st grade field trips! It is hard to believe but I think we ended on a great one! It was awesome seeing how excited the students (and parents) were to feed and pet the animals. We even had some brave ones who touched the animals' tongue! 

Strawberry Farm

We had such a great day picking strawberries today. The weather was beautiful and the strawberries were delicious! The kids also had the chance to pet baby ducks and rabbits which they really enjoyed! We then went to the Tickfaw State Park for a picnic and explored the museum.
