Homecoming Week

What a fun week we had for homecoming! Our dress up themes were 80's, Neon, 50's, Hats, and PBS spirit. I saw some fabulous costumes but I must admit that 50's day was my favorite! We ended the week with a homecoming pep rally and parade! Go Eagles!

Centers!

We finally began centers this week and boy were they excited! Centers are an educational way to get the students out of their desk and working on various skills. Throughout each week the kids will visit 8 centers. They are reading, listening, poetry, word work, computers, sentence building, writing, and smart board.

Spill the Counters!

This week we learned how to write a number sentence in math. We played the game "Spill the Counters" where they would shake, spill, and sort the counters in order to write a number sentence. They had fun playing the game and are getting very good at writing number sentences!
