Johnny Appleseed

We are having a lot of fun learning about Johnny Appleseed this week. We have learned all about how he used to live and how he planted many apple trees. We have also learned the difference between truth and exaggeration through all of the old tales about Johnny Appleseed! We will continue our lesson next week and end with some fun experiments in the science lab!

Bee Of The Week: Reid!

Our special student this week is Reid! Some of his favorite things are pizza, the color green, playing soccer and reading Where the Wild Things Are. Reid and Buzzy spent the weekend together doing lots of cool things. They rode 4-wheelers, went to a birthday party and accepted the ALS Ice bucket challenge! We are learning new things about Reid everyday!

Fluency Phones

Today the students each got a their first phone...a fluency phone! These phones let children hear themselves talk so they can really focus on every sound and word they say. They really enjoyed talking on what they call their "iPhone"!

Clay Day

To shake our first Monday blues, we had a clay party at school! Clay is a great way to strengthen your child's hand muscles which helps with handwriting and fine motor skills. While the students think it's just all fun, it's also very beneficial :)!
