Christmas Party

Thank you to everyone who helped make our Christmas party a success! The kids had a great time celebrating Christmas in Mexico. I always want to thank everyone for my wonderful gifts. I really appreciate them! I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas. See you in 2015!

Weekly News 12/15-12/19

Happy Monday! I can't believe we are practically half way done with the school year! It's crazy! Here is all the information you need for this week.

Reminders:
-Wednesday is our Christmas Party! The students may wear Christmas colors. Thank you for all your time and work planning our party!
-We will dismiss at 11:45 on Wednesday and Thursday.
-Classes will resume January 6, 2015.

Homework and Tests:
-Students are required to get TWO green lights BEFORE Thursday of this week.
-Christmas BINGO card and Go Math Academy information was sent home today. It is required and will be due January 6th..
-Monday: Math homework
-Tuesday: Reading test, Grammar test, Spelling test, Addition and Subtraction facts test, 3.3 pop words due.

Bee of the Week: Logan

Our Bee of the Week this week is Logan! He is six years old and will celebrating his golden birthday in March. He loves the color red, horses, reading Green Eggs and Ham, and playing tennis. He is a star because he is smart. Over the weekend, Logan and Buzzy went to the library, read books, colored, and went to church on Sunday. They had a great weekend together!

First Grade's Weekly News 12/8

Good Morning! Hope everyone had a relaxing weekend. Here is some information about this week.

Reminders:
-Our Christmas party will be on December 17th at 10:00.
-We will have early dismissal next Wednesday (12/17) and Thursday (12/18).
-No school on December 19th.

-Tuesday: Reading test, Grammar test, Spelling test, pop words due

Teamwork Math

Our math lesson today was taught mostly through teamwork. The students combined their addition and subtraction skills to make lists of different ways to make numbers up to 20. It was amazing to see all of the different ways they came up with. We even had a group that used negative numbers!
