Sentence Surgery
My sister came in town for a visit and taught the
students how to perform surgery on a sentence. First we washed our hands and
sterilized our desks for the operation. Next the doctors were paged into
surgery, put on their mask and shoe covers, and headed into the O.R. Each
student received a sentence (their patient) and had to perform surgery on a
word to make it a more exciting sentence. It was a great lesson and the kids really
enjoyed working with Ms. Amanda!
